Single Knot

The single knot, also known as 'hitostu-musubi' (つ結び) or 'overhand knot,' is the simplest among stopper knots.

The Single Knot

The single knot is tied with one end around its own standing part to prevent the end of a rope (or fabric) from unraveling. Especially when used alone, the single knot is very secure and should be used if the knot is intended to be permanent.
