The Chrysanthemum wrapping technique, much like the Japanese Otsukai Tsutsumi style, is a fundamental technique that can be accomplished in mere seconds.

How to Fold the Chrysanthemum

The diagonal length of the cloth should ideally be five times the length of the item to be wrapped.
This may vary based on the height of the item; taller items will require a larger cloth to employ this wrapping technique effectively.
Lay the cloth in front of you with the side that you want displayed later facing downwards.

Center the item on the fabric and fold the bottom left corner upward.
If the corner of the fabric overlaps the item, tuck the cloth underneath the present to secure it in place and prevent slipping.

Next, fold the upper right corner of the fabric over the gift.

Tie the upper left corner and lower right corner together in the center of the item. You can use a half knot, granny knot or a square knot.

Take the remaining fabric, fold it around the bow, and tuck it under.

Admire your beautifully wrapped gift, completed in the Chrysanthemum wrapping style.
