Otsukai Tsutsumi
The Otsukai Tsutsumi wrapping technique is one you've likely seen before. It's a primary method used for wrapping gifts, owing to its simplicity and stunning presentation.

How to fold the Otsukai Tsutsumi

Ensure that the item you wish to wrap is at least 1/3 of the diagonal length of the COVER you're using.
The size requirement may vary depending on the item's height. For taller items, the cloth should be larger to properly utilize this wrapping technique.

Spread the cloth in front of you with the side you want displayed facing downward.
Position the item diagonally in the middle of the fabric and fold the bottom corner upward.
Tuck it in, if necessary.

Proceed by folding the upper corner of the fabric over the gift.

Next, bring up the remaining corners of the cloth and tie them together using a granny knot or a square knot.
For rectangular objects, achieving a different look involves bringing up the corners of the cloth on each side of the item's longest side first, then knotting the edges on the shorter side.
For square items, there will be no difference as all sides are of equal length.

Congratulations! You've mastered the basic Otsukai Tsutsumi wrapping technique.
Enjoy gifting your loved one.
